A spectral analysis of the 12-month running averages of several atmospheric parameters for 40 years (1951–1990) indicated prominent QBO (Quasi-Biennial Oscillations) and QTO (Quasi-Triennial Oscillations). The 50 mb tropical wind has a very prominent QBO peak atT=2.33 years, which was well reflected in N. Pole 30 mb temperature but not in average surface air temperatures of Northern and Southern Hemispheres. The 50 mb wind had no prominent QTO; but sea-surface temperatures showed prominent QTO at 3.6 years as well as peaks at 4.8 years (also shown by N. Pole 30 mb temperature) which matched very well with similar peaks in the Pacific SST and SO (Southern Oscillation) index. Specific humidity in the lower troposphere (1000 and 700 mb) and temperature at 300 mb obtained by radiosondes in the western Pacific for 15 years (1974–1988) showed mainly a biennial oscillation. 相似文献

Analysis of COADS data (1958–1987) showed that there is obviously interannual SST oscillation including QBO (Quasi-biennial
oscillation) and quasi-3.5 year oscilation, etc., of the SCS (South China Sea), which is the response of the upper mixed layer
of the sea to the impact of the East Asian Monsoon anomaly. Most SST anomalies appear in the central basin of the SCS. The
phase-locked phenomena linking the SST annual cycle and interannual oscillation is an important characteristic of the SCS
climate. There is not only SST response to atmospheric impact, but also feedback to the air. The authors put forward a scheme
of regional air-sea interaction in winter time in the SCS.

周期振荡法是一种新兴的多孔介质渗透率测量方法,具有测量周期短、稳定性好、精度高等优点。然而,由于缺乏对周期振荡法的系统研究,该方法未能在低渗透测量领域得到推广应用。采用数值模拟方法,分别研究了不同孔隙率、渗透率对周期振荡法气压测量结果的影响,以及不同形式周期波在周期振荡法渗透率测量中的适用性。结果表明:无论是孔隙率,还是渗透率都会影响气体压力传递过程;周期振荡法渗透率测量时可以不需要初始气压平衡过程,一定时间后测量结果几乎不受初始气压状态影响;与正弦波相比,方波对下游气体压力响应的影响更明显,而且方波、三角波和锯齿波具有容易加载的特点,建议采用方波取代正弦波进行周期振荡法试验。研究成果对指导周期振荡法试验和解决低渗透测量难题有一定帮助。 相似文献

提高汛期降水过程的延伸期预报能力是目前天气预报和气候预测发展的重要方向。本文以上海梅汛期降水为例,利用非传统滤波方法提取多变量季节内分量,分析了梅汛期季节内候降水异常及其相联系的延伸期关键低频信号,进一步综合多变量低频信号建立了梅汛期候降水异常延伸期预报方法,并开展了多年的回报和试报检验。结果表明:①梅汛期候降水异常季节内分量具有显著的40~60d低频振荡周期,与降水异常实况具有显著的正相关和较高的符号一致率;②梅汛期季节内候降水异常与超前10~35d的热带及中高纬低频信号有关,主要包括:热带MJO(Madden Julian Oscillation)自阿拉伯海的向东传播、西太平洋副热带高压季节内活动的西北向传播、PNA(Pacific-North American)遥相关型的季节内位相转换以及东北亚冷空气的持续性异常影响;③综合上述多变量低频信号建立了延伸期候降水异常预报模型,对提前10~35d的延伸期候降水异常的季节内分量具有预报技巧,也能较好地预报实际的候降水异常趋势。 相似文献

大气季节内振荡的耦合模式数值模拟 总被引:22,自引:5,他引:17
分析GOALS/LASG海气耦合模式10年积分200hPa纬向风场的逐日输出结果,引用1980~1989年期间逐日的NCEP/NCAR再分析资料作为实测对照,结果显示该耦合模式抓住了热带大气低频振荡(IO)的基本时空分布特征,模拟IO的强度较多数大气模式强而接近真实,但空间一致性仍不清晰,典型周期不够显著。NCEP资料与耦合模式都反映模拟IO的季节变化与其年际变化有关,模拟较强IO的年份表现IO的季节变化特征也较真实。模拟IO的年际变化与热带东太平洋的SST呈明显的负相关变化。SST暖异常的年份,IO活动较弱。IO变化滞后于SST异常60天左右的相关性最显著。对比单独积分GOALS/LASG的大气模式的结果,发现二者的主要差别在于耦合模式再现IO的季节性特征更真实,反映了海气耦合对IO变化的调制作用。利用海气耦合模式,理解IO对流活动与上层海洋的相互作用过程,是真实描述IO必要的手段。 相似文献

During the summer monsoon season over India a range of intraseasonal modulations of the monsoon rains occur due to genesis of weather disturbances over the Bay of Bengal (BOB) and the east Arabian Sea. The amplitudes of the fluctuations in the surface state of the ocean (sea-surface temperature and salinity) and atmosphere are quite large due to these monsoonal modulations on the intraseasonal scale as shown by the data collected during the field programs under Bay of Bengal Monsoon Experiment (BOBMEX) and Arabian Sea Monsoon Experiments (ARMEX). The focus of BOBMEX was to understand the role of ocean-atmospheric processes in organizing convection over the BOB on intra-seasonal scale. ARMEX-I was aimed at understanding the coupled processes in the development of deep convection off the West Coast of India. ARMEX-II was focused on the formation of the mini-warm pool across the southeast Arabian Sea in April-May and its role in the abrupt onset of the monsoon along the Southwest Coast of India and its further progress along the West Coast of India. The paper attempts to integrate the results of the observational studies and brings out an important finding that atmospheric instability is prominently responsible for convective organization whereas the upper ocean parameters regulate the episodes of the intraseasonal oscillations. 相似文献

The equatorial undercurrent (EUC), the shallow meridional overturning cells feeding it, and their role in El Niño and decadal variability in the equatorial Pacific are studied using both in situ data and an ocean general circulation model. Using temperature and current data from the TAO/TRITON moorings at the equator, their data gaps are filled and it was shown that continuous time series of mass transport, temperature, depth, and kinetic energy of the EUC could be constructed for the period 1980–2002 with an excellent accuracy. This dataset was analysed and used to validate the output from an oceanic general circulation model (OGCM). The OGCM was then used to find that variations in the strength of the EUC, shallow meridional overturning (pycnocline convergence and surface divergence), and equatorial upwelling had the same variations in mass transport on interannual and longer time scales within the period 1951–1999. These variations are all caused by variations of the zonal wind stress zonally integrated, in agreement with simple linear and steady dynamics theories. Impact of these mass transport variations and of temperature variations on heat budgets in the entire equatorial band of the Pacific and in its eastern part are quantified. 相似文献
